Attorney
and founding partner, Elizabeth Krukova, Esq.
has been admitted to practice as an attorney in New
York, Maryland, District of Columbia and Virginia. Having completed
her Masters Degree in Law from Indiana University School of
Law in Bloomington, Indiana, USA, Ms. Krukova has over ten years
of experience as an attorney. She is a member of multiple professional
associations, including American Immigration Lawyers Association
(AILA) and has been invited as a speaker in multiple presentations
and in the media. Ms. Krukova practiced law with major international
law firms in Washington D.C. She also practiced immigration
law with a non-profit organization, the Office of Refugee Resettlement,
helping many foreign nationals to obtain legal status in the
United States. She continues to donate her time to this organization
providing legal advice to those in need.
Attorney Veronika
Metonidze
is a Virginia licensed attorney. Veronica earned her J.D. from
Tbilisi State University, Georgia, and her LLM from the American
University Washington College of Law, USA. Therefore she is
licensed to practice law in the United States and in Georgia.
She also studied European Law at the Paris 1 Pantheon- Sorbonne
University, France. Before joining National Capital Ms. Metonidze
practiced civil and business law providing legal advice to local
and foreign companies and international organizations in Georgia.
She acquired international law experience while working for
Baker & Botts LLP in Washington DC. Ms. Metonidze was involved
in legal and judicial reforms in Georgia as a Managing Staff
Attorney of ABA/CEELI. She also served for many years as a Legal
Counsel and a Chief of Staff of the Foreign Relations
Committee of the Georgian Parliament. Currently, she concentrates
her practice on family law and civil litigation. Attorney Metonidze
is fluent in Georgian, Russian and French.

Attorney Darija
Morozova has been admitted to
law practice in Virginia and is a member of the Virginia State
Bar. She holds her Masters Degree in Law from American University
Washington College of Law and her Bachelors Degree in Law from
Law University of Lithuania. Ms. Morozova worked with non-profit
organizations such as Amnesty International and Office of Refugee
Resettlement as well as at Second District Court in Vilnius,
Lithuania.

Darya
Barmina holds her Bachelor's Degree in International
Relations/Business Concentration from Randolph- Macon Woman's
College, Lynchburg, VA. She has also attended Perm State Polytechnical
University in Perm, Russia at the Translator- Economist Department.
After her graduation in 2002 from Randolph-Macon, Ms. Barmina
worked in many international organizations in Washington D.C.
including Academy Health and the US-Russia Business Council,
assisting businesses to expand their activities in international
markets. Currently, she specializes in Business Immigration
and Labor Certification in particular. She helps business to
navigate through the most cumbersome of all immigration processes
- PERM. Her superb interpersonal skills make her invaluable
link between US government authorities and private companies
and individuals. Ms. Barmina holds certifications from Catholic
Legal Immigration Network, Inc. Ms. Barmina also holds a notary
license.

Natalie
Shymanovich holds her Law Degree from Belarusian
State University, Faculty of Foreign Affairs, with specialty
in International Law. Prior to joining National Capital Legal
Services, Ms. Shymanovich worked with several law firms in Washington,
DC area as well as with non-profit organizations. Her experience
there included working with international public law.
She focuses her practice
on asylum law, deportation procedings, family immigration and
other immigration issues. She saved numerous individuals from
deportation and helped them to obtain legal status in the United
States. Ms. Shymanovich is fluent in Russian, Polish and Belorussian
languages.

Mary
Afandiyeva is currently completing her Bachelor
of Science in Economics at George Mason University. She has
received The Fund for American Studies Scholarship and completed
Capital Semester Program at Georgetown University in the Fall
2006. Mary's area of interest is International Relations and
Economics of Public Policy. She has been a member of National
Scholars Honor Society since January 2007. Mary has wide-ranging
experience working as a paralegal in law firms in Chicago, IL
and Washington, DC. She specializes in political asylum cases,
abused spouse petitions, as well as nonimmigrant worker visas
(such as H1B and O1) and consular processing. Mary Afandiyeva
is fluent in Russian, Azerbaijani and Turkish.

Alyona Kozlova
joined our team in 2007. She holds her Bachelor in
English and foreign languages and literature from Ukrainian
State University. She is a certified paralegal having completed
Paralegal Certification Program at Montgomery College. Before
joining our firm she worked as a Legal Assistant for another
Immigration Firm and for non-profit organization “Bread for
the City” (Washington, D.C.).
She specializes in
family-based immigration, naturalization and student visas.
Ms. Kozlova is fluent in Russian and Ukrainian.

Oxana Percic
holds her Law Degree from the Academy of Economical
Studies of Moldova, Faculty of Private Law, with specialty in
Civil Law. Prior to joining National Capital Legal Services,
Ms. Percic worked for the Court of
Appeals of Republic of Moldova as well as other non-profit
organizations.
She specializes in student
visas, family immigration and family matters. Ms. Percic is
fluent in Russian, Spanish and Romanian languages.
