Passport renewals for Russian
and Belarusian citizens temporarily residing in the US still
holding Russian or Belarusian passport
According to the Russian
law, as well as Belarusian, all international passports for
the Russian or Belarusian citizens are issued or renewed in
Russia or Belarus according to the permanent residence/registration
address in the Russian Federation or Belarus.
The Russian and Belarusian
Consulate in the USA is authorized to accept documents for passport
renewals from the Russian and Belarusian citizens:
- Permanently registered in the Russian Federation or Belarus
,
- Temporarily residing in the USA on valid student/work visas
or Green Cards;
- Whose passport has been lost or destroyed during their stay
in the USA .
All Russian and Belarusian passports are processed through the
Russian and Belarusian Consulate in Washington DC . Our services
regarding the application for a new Russian or Belarusian passport
include proper completion of the application forms, notarization
of the consulate forms and submission of them to the Consulate
along with additional documentation including further communication
with the proper authority about the application.
